Curriculum Intent Design and Technology
At Wadsworth Fields Primary School we provide children with a challenging and engaging design and technology curriculum that enables them to access the highly developed technological world around them. Through a variety of carefully sequenced projects children are encouraged to develop problem – solving and teamwork skills alongside exploring and generating imaginative and innovative designs. The very practical nature of design and technology allows all children to succeed whilst developing key knowledge, improving practical skills, understanding the importance of safety when handling tools and recognising the significance of evaluation. Design and technology allows children to make important links with science, maths and art and explore the world around them.
